Gender Sensitization - Right Vocabulary & Gender

Recent days many universities and educational department of government bodies emphasises to bring awareness about gender sensitization, gender inequality and gender discrimination. It's a high time to bring ethical attitude and humanitarian aspects to build harmonious society and livelihood. Considering all these aspects I am bringing a series of articles to your door step. It may help the academic fraternity and NGO's to educate both students and public to build a better eco system and a human race to form a peaceful community. This article is compiled with visuals, that will make you to understand easily. 

Understanding and using appropriate words both in terms of conversation and in writing are more important in grooming students. I hope you will enjoy reading this article.

Sex = Male or Female

Gender = Masculine or Feminine

Sex refers to biological differences; chromosomes, hormonal profiles, internal and external sex organs

Feminine

Having qualities or an appearance traditionally associated with women, especially delicacy and prettiness

Masculine

Having qualities or appearance traditionally associated with men

Feminism

Feminism is a range of political movements, ideologies, and social movements that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve political, economic, personal, and social equality of sexes.

MRA

• Men’s Rights Activist 

• The men's rights movement is a part of the larger men's movement. 

• MRA is notably anti-feminist and made up of a variety of groups and individuals who focus on numerous social issues:

• (including family law,parenting,reproduction,domestic violenceand circumcision) and government services (including education,compulsory military service,social safety nets, and health policies), which men's rights advocates say discriminate against men.

•There is a gender bias against males in certain cases. 

•A number of laws are made for the protection of female but no such laws are there for the males and this makes them the victim of the society.
